Hurry up, I’ve got other meaningless things to do!

So many times during the day, I feel like I’m being rushed.

In the grocery line, I feel like I’m always going way too slow after the transaction is made – hurry up and get that change into your wallet, lady, we’re done with you so move along! In traffic, I’m honked if I’m obeying the speed limit. At work, people are constantly checking in to remind me of the ten deadlines I had to meet ten minutes ago.

It’s like this all day. So when I get home, I’m still in this hyper-speed warp and I cook dinner as if I were racing against the clock like an Iron Chef. And what’s all the rush for? Because I can’t wait to watch some pathetic TV show that’s so good it puts me to sleep.

Life wasn’t always like this. Even in my lifetime, things have sped up tremendously. And thank God for that. Because Lord knows I need more time for crap “entertainment”, getting fat and filling the planet with insane amounts of useless garbage.
